Michael Steele, Chairman Republican National Committee
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele is scheduled to appear with gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez on Thursday (July 29) at a fundraiser at the home of John Sanchez and his wife Debra in Albuquerque.
Steele has caught fire for some comments he has made while GOP chairman, most recently for saying that the war in Afghanistan is “a war of Obama’s choosing.”
An invitation sent to New Mexico Republicans says that interested parties can attend a reception for $250 per person or take part in a VIP reception for $1,000 per couple.
The New Mexico Democratic Party quickly released a statement Tuesday evening, calling Martinez “the Washington candidate” for inviting the DC-based Steele.

Not sure if that is the kind of “help” that Martinez needs – I thought she was doing pretty good on her own.
