The Journal article only identified her as a woman in California with a son. The article goes on to say, “Malott said the boy has suffered medical problems since early childhood and the mortgage payments were to help pay for his care.”

The Republicans are so funny, when the economy is good you say let’s all celebrate “Cinco de Mayo, my brothers” but when the economy is down “it’s all your fault, you damn immigrant”. When most Americans (with Latin America roots) go to the polls this November we will remember that the GOP has gone on a nationwide rant in proposing and passing several anti-immigration legislation and have continue to blame the immigrant for the flat economy or worse. We will remember who stands with us and who stands against us, so trying to stop it now is somewhat funny, but go ahead, you will not change our minds. Plus the more radical of the GOP are now attacking our Constitution and our Bill of Rights, in a misguided attempt to garner some much needed votes, they really are fools, and leading the GOP towards obscurity because they are no longer a party of ideas, just of empty suits. Your hate made you do it, in November; you will reap what you have sown. I wonder what Abraham Lincoln would say today about the GOP, he unlike you was a man of ideas.

Great interview. Lets us know how Susana feels about the poll, the railrunner, and the film industry–all in a few minutes. Too bad Denish is too busy to be interviewed. Seems like all Democrats are suddently too busy to be interviewed by the press. Maby it’s the water. I’m sure it has nothing to do with being secretive, not knowing how to respond to legitmate questions, or the new polls.

Why is any nationwide agreement with AZ Immigration law a Republican-only dilema??

I read that 70% of folks polled nationwide agreed with the law or some version of it and no way / no how is their 70% in America that are Republicans.

Is this political profiling on Linda Chavez’ part??

Before an overhaul of the immigration system takes place, the entitlement and employment systems must be overhauled and enforced.

This all comes down to the almighty dollar. Until the opportunities / loopholes to defraud the tax system in the United States is squashed, from any and all individuals residing in America, please DO NOT allow more financial harm to the legal citizen.

If an employment system worked, anyone drawing a paycheck would need to have the government identify and varify every dependent used for tax deductions prior to employment and no employer would have loopholes to hire and pay ANY individual who did not pass through that system.

Fix the employment / employer systems and soon enough, conversations at everyones dinner table will eventually be altered in the direction of a responsible and fair country.

I realize that Internet political news sites are designed primarily to appeal to insiders while keeping loose-cannons and random members of the public out of the loop, but for the record, who is the “I” mentioned in this story? Which is to say, who wrote this first-person piece?
